Magnafluxing
As part of its inspection of manufactured parts, in addition to dimensional checks MTA Industrie offers magnafluxing of machined parts.
Magnafluxing is a non-destructive inspection technique consisting of creating intense magnetic flux inside ferromagnetic materials such as mild steel for example. If the magnetic flux encounters a defect on its path, it is diverted and creates a leak that attracts particles from the developer medium, providing a characteristic fault signature. Magnafluxing is used to detect faults reaching the surface or close to it that have been created during preparation, conversion, or usage. .
MTA Industrie carries out manaflux inspections through an authorised person, certified to COFREND level 2. The operating method used is priming with a fluorescent product, the most sensitive method. Three main phases are defined during operational progress: excitation, disturbance, and developing
